Realizing the Full Potential of PCIe-based Storage

IDT has been a key contributor to the development of NVM Express from the beginning, and we’re thrilled with the progress made to date.  NVMe is a giant step forward in realizing the full potential of PCIe-based storage.  While other solutions exist, including a proprietary solution by IDT ourselves, standard NVMe drivers & features are opening up the use of PCIe SSDs to mainstream server/storage applications. This is leading to much greater adoption of PCIe SSDs. 

As a leader in PCIe solutions with a portfolio of switches, signal integrity products, timing solutions, and flash controllers, NVMe flash controllers are a natural extension of our portfolio and you will see a family of these devices coming out later this year from IDT.  This will be one of many exciting announcements from the NVMe community as the specification continues to mature and the ecosystem is built out.
