First NVM Express Plugfest

The first NVM Express Plugfest was held at the University of New Hampshire InterOperability Laboratory (UNH-IOL) from May 13-16.Companies participating in the Plugfest were Agilent Technologies, Dell Inc., Fastor Systems, Inc., HGST, a Western Digital company, Integrated Device Technology, Inc., Intel Corporation, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., SanDisk Corporation., sTec, Inc., Teledyne LeCroy, and Western Digital Corporation.

Achieving this milestone continues the momentum surrounding the NVMe ecosystem with the importance of the event summed up by this participant. “The plugfest is a very important first step in bringing NVM Express from standards to productization. It is the onset of the next phase of growth in the PCIe SSD market.”  Swapna Yasarapu, Director of Technical Marketing, sTec.
