First NVMe PCIe SSD Arrives!!!

NVM Express crossed another major milestone last week with the announcement of the Samsung XS1715.  The Samsung XS1715 is the first PCIe SSD to offer NVM Express support.

Over the last 2 ½ years, it’s been exciting to see how quickly NVM Express has matured. First the 1.0 and 1.1 specifications, this year’s plugfest and now a first product. Congratulations to Samsung on their product announcement.
